The Savannah Way

This commercial property is in the heart of the Cairns CBD at 149 – 151 Lake Street, Cairns.  The owner wanted me to represent the Savannah Way, so I added the dry creek garden bed to give the job character. I planted taller trees at the back of the job to actually screen the carpark and have utilised native plants of North Queensland as much as possible. I put the lower plantings at the front in the decomposed granite so that all of the job is visual from the footpath.

The owner supplied the Brolga birds and Frilled Neck Lizard rustic statues to also give the landscape character.
